Fabric Use-Up Project

Sustainability is at the heart of Finisterre; from championing and pioneering the innovation of recycled materials right through to the way we run our workshop.

Whether it’s food waste, plastic waste or simply throwing away unwanted clothing, the age old saying, ‘waste not, want not’, is a philosophy that runs deep through our range.

The Finisterre Fabric Use-Up Project was founded on this basis, solving the problem of unused quality fabric left over from our recycled insulation, and most recently our waterproof jackets.

Re-purposing this material, we designed a range of accessories, including wallets, wash bags, hats and totes, the last particularly in hopes of addressing our nation's overuse of plastic bags. Taking things one step further, it’s our way of closing the circle and keeping our promise to design sustainably.
